I fell in love with yoga the first day I took a class after moving to KC in 2010. Over the years, I began to realize yoga wasn’t solely a physical practice. Stress and anxiety from a hectic work life started to decrease, as I learned how to take yoga and mindfulness into my daily life. Every day brings a new lesson on how to apply this healing work to life’s complexities, acknowledging there’s so much more to learn beyond the physical practice.
Over the years, I’ve attended numerous trainings and workshops from teachers around the US. A teacher at heart, I began teaching yoga in May 2015. In February 2016, I completed my official 200 hour RYS Yoga Teacher Training at the Maui Yoga Shala in Paia, Hawaii. It was an unforgettable experience filled with knowledge and inspiration that I carry in my heart daily.
In 2018, I began formally studying Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qigong, and Shiatsu bodywork at the HeartMind Shiatsu school in Boulder, CO. I became certified in Shiatsu in November 2019 and went on to study massage and energy therapies with their sister school, Healing Spirits. I became a licensed massage therapist in the summer of 2021. I have enjoyed incorporating this knowledge into my yoga classes and client work, helping people target more within their internal organs and energy pathways. In my experience, blending these modalities continues to open up new possibilities, as I dive deeper into the subtle energy of this work. It’s my belief and passion to help people unlock their true inner potential that lies within. Through these practices, we can find our way back to harmony using self-love and self-healing.
I am beyond grateful that I’m able to share this practice with others. I love seeing the energy of unique, beautiful individuals coming together to breathe, move, connect, and be present.
